2021 News

Oh, dear son, how late I am with this blog this year!  I really do try to keep it up every February around the 20th, but this year has been a little crazy.  And people thought 2020 was a crappy year!  It was, but for me 2021 has been worse.  The Covid-19 global pandemic isn't over, but the numbers seem to be going down.  Still, I lost one of my best friends in January, and your Pappaw died from Covid complications on February 13.  It's because it hit that close to me/us that I decided I wanted to get the vaccine so I did.  Trevor and Tori have also been vaccinated.  Speaking of Tori, she is getting married in November!  She and Evan got engaged this past Christmas Eve!  We are SO excited for both of them!

Another bump in the road (literally) is that I was involved in a car accident on Sunday, April 25.  I was t-boned by a police officer on his way to a domestic disturbance call.  I didn't see him or hear him till seconds before he hit me.  It was like all of a sudden, there he was!  He hit me pretty hard, but for some reason, I didn't sustain any serious injuries.  I was definitely shaken up, though!  The whole ordeal has stressed me out with dealing with the insurance company, car rental place, etc.  It's been a nightmare, but it could have been so much worse.  I'm so thankful I was ok and that no one was with me and that I didn't hit anyone else.  My car was totalled, and I rented a car for a month before everything was tied up with my car lienholder.  I bought a 2019 Nissan Sentra.  It's silver so I think I'm going to call her Silver.  I know....not very imaginative.  haha

On a positive note, I'm successfully employed as a professional pet sitter and stay VERY busy!  I also published another book this past November, and just a few days ago the audio version of the book was published.  I don't care how many books I publish, it's always excited when it goes live!  I still plan to write Tyler's Footprints.  I mess around with it from time to time, but I am nowhere near ready to publish it.

I think of you all the time.  I can't believe it's been over 29 years now.

Till next time...

Love, Mom
